Huawei to launch Mate 60 series, continuing dual flagship approach

Huawei launch Mate 60 series

Huawei, a Chinese company, is planning to resume its usual release of two flagship phones within a year. Due to the U.S. ban, the company was unable to release two flagships in a year. However, with the situation improving, Huawei is planning to release the Mate 60 series in the second half of this year. Huawei will now release the P series in the spring (first half of the year) and the Mate series in the fall (the second half of the year), as they have done in the past. This is a dual flagship strategy that Huawei has been known for.

HUAWEI MATE 60 SERIES IS COMING SOON

According to a report by tech blogger Wisdom Pikachu, Huawei is set to launch its Mate 60 series in Q3 of this year. The phone will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen2 4G chip, which is expected to have a brand-new 1+4+3 eight-core architecture, including a super-large Kryo Prime core with a CPU frequency of 3.2GHz, four performance cores running at 2.8GHz, and three efficiency cores clocked at 2.0GHz. The Snapdragon 8 Gen2 chip is expected to be more powerful than the Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 used in the Huawei P60 series.

In addition, the Mate 60 series will come equipped with second-generation variable aperture technology for the first time. This technology will allow the phone to match bright and dark scenes more easily under complex light conditions. The chip will be based on TSMC’s 4nm process, which will provide high single-thread performance and better handling of multi-threaded workloads.
